I am alive and kicking, just managing my time very badly. I hope to start posting again from this evening.

On my way back from New York last evening, it occured to me that surprisingly good number of commuters from Stamford or Greenwich to New York read The Economist on the way. I guess it could just be the location (many Wall Streeters in Greenwich). It is not that ubiquitous in California.

yeah, I am not surprised...I have started feeling a bit sheepish and defensive about this post now ..

I have never seen anybody read 'the economist' here during my bus rides in houston! probably the location and area of interest..

I thought there were quite a few. Obviously, a vastly larger number reads NYT and WSJ on the way to NYC and NY Post on the way back. But I saw a good subset reading The Economist too. It could be that I was more attuned to it since I have been thinking of subscribing to it for some time. It is also possible that it was just a fluke that I extrapolated wrongly; I dont commute to NYC every day, only when I have client meetings ...

I don't believe I've seen a single person reading the Economist Greenwich to NY, that I've noticed. Times, Journal and various German/French/Japanese papers, yeah.
